Jennifer R. Povey: I hate to say it, but Alito's worse. Scalia, for all of his evil, had a basic respect for the rule of law.

The Court ruling today is terrible but expected. I will just gently remind everyone that the election hasn’t happened yet. We shouldn’t assume the worst outcome as a foregone conclusion. That only encourages more apathy than many are already feeling.

WE CAN FIX COURT IF WE WIN THE ELECTION. LET’S DO THAT.

We won the last election and it's all still unfixed. I'm promise I'm not just trying to be contrarian here, but I don't get why, if it's not being done today, why would it be in January?

Because 2 of the most rightwing SCOTUS justices are really fucking old, to start with.

In the same way that Himmler was worse than Hitler, Alito is worse than Scalia. By any objective measure, all four deserve to face the wall.

Pretty good analogy there, although I'm not one for promoting "facing the wall." I'm much more fond of oubliettes.

That's my major grounds for saying Alito is worse, tbh.
