This is a country with a large percentage of citizens that rather pay $40k a year to incarcerate non-violent crimes than pay $12k a year for proper food assistance. So telling me people are donating to support racism, isn't the surprise you think it is.

Legal system disproportionately incarcerates 'brown people' but many don't mind it costing +40k/yr to do so. Those same people perceive programs like SNAP food assistance as helping 'brown people' and complain it's 3k/yr.
