If you have an air quality tracker, today is one of those days you can get rather dramatic before & after readings.

Lord have mercy. Hurricane Beryl went from Tropical Depression to Category 3 in 39 hours (4PM Eastern on Friday to 7AM Eastern on Sunday), and is expected to be a Cat 4 by Monday.
This is what they mean by "rapid intensification."
Judicial appointments are why I will crawl over broken glass to vote *against* Republicans in November and every election. Doesn't matter to me how the Dem candidate performs in a "debate 🙄."

Back in New Orleans, a Mid-City business replaced a non-intrusive yellow parking lot light with an LED powerful enough to ruin the evening front porch routine for every neighbor on two blocks.
The light pollution thing has gotten dramatically worse in my lifetime, by the way, as we've replaced yellow-ish incandescents and sodium vapor lamps with blue-ish LEDs that ruin our ability to see the stars much more efficiently.
