I think it's perfectly acceptable for some people -- not necessarily politicians, but the rest of us -- to say something like "Trump has encouraged political violence for the better part of a decade and has been promising to do it with the government if he wins. I do not sympathize with him."

Fun day today dealing with a) WestJet, which gave a credit instead of a refund for the flight I cancelled despite their site saying they'd be giving refunds and b) TELUS, which has a chat option on their site... that proceeds to tell you to phone them and wait on hold (currently over an hour).
