Scavengers Reign (2023) is now available on Netflix (at least, in the US & UK).
Please watch this beautiful, weird, frightening, fresh, poetic, fascinating sci-fi masterpiece. We have the power to collectively spawn a Season 2.🖖
I'm an editor, so a lot of what I do is help people find the right words. One problem even the best writers struggle with is ableist language. We're so pickled in ableism that it can be hard to spot. Here are some examples & solutions, and please share your own 🧵 a thread
is it time to bust out my "bigfoot is bears" photo collection again? if your mental image of a bear is a thick-furred, fat glossy male bear in autumn, you're probably not prepared for how weird their proportions can look in spring, or when walking upright, like they frequently do.

Today is #godzilladay ! It's the 69th anniversary of the original film's release. I got to make an ad for Funko Games' Godzilla board game back in 2020. I didn't have time to make anything from scratch so all the monsters are actually the figurines from the game! 🦖

When you do client work for ad agencies, design studios, etc it is important to establish PRECISELY what you're providing for the rate. It helps to proceed as if your commercial art clients understand NOTHING about what you do.
How it started and how it went. I normally work on fossilized leaves so this is a change for me. This is a partial femur of a shuvosaurus. A reptile from the Triassic that looked like a dinosaur, but was not a dinosaur! #fossilfriday
have you ever thought about how the sexual dimorphism of modern disney characters has perfectly paralleled the sexual dimorphism of the proboscis monkey. i cannot stop thinking about it.
