just watched 74 people speaking at least a dozen different languages become american citizens in a ceremony at monticello, where the speakers were themselves children of immigrants. inspiring stuff and a vivid illustration of what reactionaries want to snuff out

Hey @kleinman.bsky.social, It’s been a rough political week, and I know there is a lot that can be done to make a difference (donating, getting involved in a local campaign, etc.), but much of my fam looks to me for political incites/optimism, and I’m kinda struggling. Any advice for over the 4th?
