This. I’m angry and I’m going to make sure every single person I know votes for Biden. Whoever votes 3rd party, whoever stays home, whoever leaves the president unchecked, is explicitly telling the world “I am happy with an emperor Trump, I want to end democracy. Personally.”

I really have lost my former tolerance for "we're doomed/fucked/it's all over/they've won" takes at this point, in that they're the most dangerous attitudes one could possibly have when confronted with a truly existential political threat (which we still DO have levers to address).

This. How long before the Supreme Court appends to a case that an “official act” is anything Trump wants to do? Including decertifying an election he feels he should have won.

Among other things, it holds the space open for more delay/fucking around about the definition of “official act.”

Need to read more closely but, it looks like the court did not destroy the internet today with the NetChoice decision. They may have actually gotten it right? More analysis later.

This. I have commissioned two pieces from an artist and apparently of everyone he has worked with, I am only the second person to tell him he has his rates too low. The dude is barely making a living wage already and apparently folks asking for his work are demanding discounts. Pay your artists.

What Jim Lee has just done for the art community is an absolutely masterful strategic move. In one post he's re-established art as something of great value at a time when so many people are doing everything to reframe it as valueless

I am in a hotel and the room next to us is blasting their TV at full volume and vibrating our walls. I want to break through the wall Kool-aid man style and just toss their TV out the window.

Based on how far right the recent decisions have been, I am fully expecting presidential immunity for Trump to be handed down and delivered in a specific way that does not give Biden the same protection.

Not over. As someone alive before Chevron precedent, before legal abortion, before many things being flipped back in time existed, I can say you can fight this war&win it. Again. &this time, people have sunk costs&reaped benefits where before it was theoretical. They will feel&resent the loss.

The war is over. The bad guys won.

If I was a foreign power seeking to influence elections, this demand for Biden to resign would be a gift that they can run with until Election Day — guaranteeing their preferred candidate wins.

Link… The worst part in all of this is that the people making these laws: 1. Do not believe what they preach and are only doing this for the votes. They have no moral center. 2. Have almost certainly ensured safe and secure abortion services for their own families, free from prosecution.
