The English positioning doesn't make sense. The players have no choice but to pass backwards. You can watch players being visibly frustrated that they have no passing options.

I remember a paper that tried to use this "data" to argue that almost half of Africans were intellectually disabled, and thus needed to be governed using less liberal means. Fortunately it was retracted after it was called out for its ridiculous racism.

A hard thing to get used as a technical person who ends up in management: having to accept delegating to people who take 1 week to do something you could do in a couple hours.

A disadvantage of per-hour pay is that it gives no incentive to be much more productive than your peers.

I'm going through the phase of my life where my politics are shifting, and I don't really know to where. I'm disillusioned with liberalism, but have no intention of joining the right. The left often seems more concerned about saying the right things than ever acting towards those things.

2.5 million people could die in Sudan by September due to food shortages if immediate action is not taken. Let that sink in. 2,500,000 men women and children will die of starvation.

And we would still find multiple think pieces screaming that it's discrimination against men.

Even in the cases where it was effectively implemented, DEI objectives were often things like "In the next 5 years, increase the representation of women from 23% to 27.5%"
