When we think of ghosts, we typically imagine women in luxurious Victorian dresses or old sea captains. We don't consider the spirits that are dudes walking around in Hawaiian t-shirts with vape pens. The world isn't ready to admit most ghosts are probably just some guy named Keith.
If I get some warning, though, I'm going to make sure to check out right in the middle of telling any witnesses where my vast and wondrous fortune, that I got from being part of a massive back robbery, has been buried.
Does anyone over there ever stop to think: maybe we should just license this and appreciate it for what it is, rather than spending millions of dollars remaking it, but shit?
And I’m not just talking about British comedy, but the entire cultural output of the rest of the world.
BBC ghosts. Somewhat sharper and snarkier than the us adaptation (and shorter as only 6eps a season). The ghosts can be threatened with having their tv privileges being taken away.
This is why I like original BBC Ghosts. 'There's this 80s scoutmaster, a crap regency poet, a ww2 captain, and a tory mp without his trousers.'
You do not expect a patholoigcally cheerful scoutmaster.
