Stating the obvious but the only pics of this guy in his 60s that exist should involve him sitting by a giant marble pool carved like the S-Crest

DC Comics can just fuck right off.

I'm using my time machine to go back in time and give him and Joe some savage lawyers

Neal Adams going to bat for them and at least getting them credit on Superman is one of my favorite stories about him

Whatever silly ideas he may have had about geology. He was a real mensch.
Paul Levitz saw to it they got considerably more from DC than the announced settlement too.

Or at least get rid of the terrible lawyer that screwed them over in the 40s.

Those guys should have been the owners of a huge city building with a giant globe on it, and both living in the top floors like kings.

This week, my "Superheroes in America" students are reading Action Comics #1. Some of them have never read a comic book before.

TBF, the placement of the age in that caption could be read that Superman was 61.

Superman was created in 1938, so it's not possible for his creator (who died in 1996, aged 81) to be 61 years old.

And that photo is from 1975, which is 49 years ago. So if he were currently 61 he would have been 12 in 1975. Does that look like a 12-year-old?
