This decision (and every decision he’s been part of with regards to ANYTHING health or insurance related) has killed people. Full stop. This man turned on the American people for a fucking *RV* and he should be prosecuted but failing that, for fucks sake please dilute his power.
Clarence Thomas took $267,000 from a health insurance executive, then issued rulings that made health insurance companies more money, while harming millions of Americans. This is a bribe. This isn’t complicated. Expand the Supreme Court.

In Ireland recently, we visited many Neolithic tombs, travelling from west to east. The tombs got more complex as the civilization evolved, which happened west to east because the Neolithic settlers in Ireland arrived from Turkey & first landed on the west coast due to prevailing currents

Wow, and it happened while the Sun was shining and the wind was blowing. That natural gas is so unreliable. 😉

At BEST, like if it started working at maximum efficiency starting next week magically, and then every CCS project worked as well as industry promised it would forever, the most it could ever do is avoid 2.4% of global emissions.

I have been working on a story about carbon capture for like three months because I keep thinking "it cannot possibly be THIS much of an absolute shit show" and figuring I must be missing something or misunderstanding something and then every new expert I talk to tells me it's even worse

I did it - I am now living in a 120 yo RR/highway tavern and rooming house - with decades worth of funky old shit (and deferred maintenance) everywhere.
Just put an offer in on an honest-to-god roadhouse on the highway to Edmonton - good chance they say yes, and I am gonna go keep an inn and tavern on the prairies. Feels good saying goodbye to the office job life, and switch to a job that is about as old as civilization.
