Something I wasn’t prepared for is how much *audacity* it takes to be an author—or even an artist—in publishing. Don't love this. Hoping she'll think more about how she wants to handle these moments, work with her staff, and get better at it. She's only been the candidate for a short time, so I'm going to try to give her some grace and hope she realizes on reflection that this isn't the right tack.

It’ll be interesting to see if Walz’s belief that “the Holocaust should not be taught as unique, but used to help…identify ‘clear patterns’ with other genocides,” and his understanding of those patterns, make him more open to influence — in spite of his past pro-Israel and anti-bds stance.

Tim Walz wrote a master's thesis on Holocaust education, just as his own school's approach drew criticism - Jewish Telegraphic Agencywww.jta.org The thesis built on Walz's own teaching and training from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.
