can't stop thinking about watching this guy land a carp. fighting with this beautiful creature just enough to overpower it, firmly but gently leading it to the net, carefully preparing the weigh bag, tenderly placing it inside with so much respect and admiration... i didn't know fishing was hot
yesterday I saw a steam engine, a whole lotta ducks, swans with three cygnets including a polish cygnet (they are leucistic so never get grey plumage woaw so cute), a border collie named max who sassed me twice, max's owner tenderly landing a very old carp, and longlegs
pretty good
@scumbelievable.bsky.social gretchen felker-martin's cuckoo is the most profoundly affecting book i've read this year. i've thought about it every day since i read it—it lives in me like a sweet, dark sickness. just burst into tears looking at the faces of these kids so lovingly brought to life
these are wonderful... but nadine, oh my god, it's got me crying just thinking about her. what a fucking powerful, slimy, guts-in-knots book you created!

pressing my ear to a buzzing amplifier and noticing there's little difference between the sound coming from it and the words surrounding me, except for the comfort
when i was little i started calling it a "mouse feast". it can be anything, but there has to be cheese obv, and these days i like to include a little treat i call "blood on a log" (celery, peanut butter, sriracha)
writing "NO TORIES NO TRANSPHOBES ⚧" in huge letters on my ballot was more cathartic than i thought it would be
time to go hang out with some queers and forget about this shit for a night
