Paralysis and overwhelm don't disrupt dangerous systems. That's one reason I believe even little actions that disrupt domination patterns and support life-sustaining patterns are important. Not because of their size but because of their direction.

Joe Biden and Donald Trump are only three and a half years apart in age. It's not that one of them is significantly older than the other. What I am saying is, there would be no problematic age gap were they to fall in love.

at the very least, sure seems like the dem scramble to either run or not run biden exposes the real issue which is that they have never run on an actual platform, there’s nothing to vote for other than “maybe beat trump”, and no matter who they put up, that’s an awful sad way to lose everything

I think the best argument for pulling Biden and scrambling to toss in newsom or harris is that it's the sort of stupid shit that could happen these days.

my response to “humanity is the virus” is the same as my response to “there are too many humans alive” which is to ask the person to point out which humans are the excess specifically, which people are the virus. we get to the punchline pretty quickly from there.

SOAPBOX TIME I hate how many times I read things like "nobody cares about the world" and "humanity is the virus" and "our species is too inept/evil/selfish to survive" online. I almost never see anyone talking about the many, many people who are doing incredibly hard, complex, good work
