Oh man they’re my favs. Add a little more oil than they recommend, turn the heat up pretty high (I have induction so it’s at 8, then 7) and give it a good fry. I take them off the heat while I turn them so the oil doesn’t get all over the place. But it’s a good meal in like 10 total minutes.
Specifically, I actually already won a bet doing this against a man who was kicked out of a Golden Corral all you can eat buffet for wiping out all the fried shrimp.
Most types of beans, preferably in the Latin American, Mediterranean/North African, or South Asian families of preparation but I pretty much will tear through most beans or lentils put in front of me (with regret later). Especially with rice.
I get bored shelling edamame, but that's about it.
