I keep stopping to look up the modern names of these 18th century forts in the Russian Empire and going "HOW far apart???" because you can fit the contiguous 48 states inside the area the tsars claimed to rule with treaties and forts.

First cup of tea with the replacement samovar, which arrived last night. Have I mentioned this thing is kitschy AF and I love it?

Perhaps it is unsurprising but if I want to avoid debilitating abdominal cramps I can't eat oats, even certified gluten free oats, which perhaps was obvious to everyone but me, but now I don't have a good food to eat that's cold and requires no prep.

I have done this for years. My go to’s are: «why are you telling me this?» and «that’s a weird thing to tell a stranger on the internet.» It’s very ok to tell people when they’re overstepping. Some folks deserve to hear it.
