I remember the Mr. Show fans going "Hey, that guy at Jan 6 looks like Jay Johnston...oh...wait a second...could it be? Uh-oh"
It wasn't funny at all, it was horrifying, like realizing something terrible had occurred
"I climbed Everest!"
"...well, okay I climbed a wall when there were stairs right there. Still kind of an accomplishment-"
(Slips backwards and destroys his career)
Did you hear the backstory behind that? Every time he knocked the thimbles over, it took the stage crew 15 minutes to set back up — live in front of the audience. When he does it like the 4th time, you can hear the audience groan. They punked the audience. So amazing.
Honestly, the Belcher's taking over Jimmy Pesto's restaurant and watching over Jimmy Jr, Andy, and Olly is a pretty good way to shake things up right now.
I want Ginger to be revealed to be his wife and them to write in that she divorces his ass and takes the restaurant and she replaces him. Have him sulk off to another town
toooooo be fair. something i wish the show would address is why the belchers are still willingly / eagerly associated with a biker gang whose new leader implied (to the kids only) is “associated with the white power movement.”
i know it’s sposed to be a throwaway joke but uh. not a good look.
Just watched the episode last night where the leader gets a job and the gang say they’ll try to be more tolerant of his situation and other races. But I still agree, better repudiation would be better.
