Communications tip: don't say "Project 2025" say "Trump's Project 2025." He's trying to run away from it, tie it to his neck like an anchor by making the words "Project 2025" naturally follow the word "Trump" in people's heads.

I think the @nytimes.com is just too old to be covering politics now. Its ability to handle the rigor and complexity of modern campaigns is obviously not there anymore. Put it out to pasture so younger newspapers can do the job.

Donald Trump doesn’t even have to pay for ads attacking Joe Biden. The whole mainstream media is doing it for him, for free.

“It is not just that my side — the ideas I believe in like bodily autonomy, economic justice and diversity — are losing in the marketplace of ideas. It is that many of the ideas that I believe in absolutely kill in the marketplace of ideas, and it *does not matter*.”

When you see the way the press is treating Joe Biden for aging in public, you see how they could treat Donald Trump for committing fraud, rape, espionage, and insurrection and never, ever will.

/8 At any rate, congratulations to the Federalist Society for an achievement beyond the reach of the British, outside the grasp of bloody civil war, impossible to Nazis and Soviets and terrorists: defeating the American idea.

One thing that annoys me about the Democratic consultant class is how they act like they're brass-knuckle streetfighters and yet don't have the stones to run nonstop ads about Trump's extensive connections to Jeffrey Epstein. It's all true! It's documented! There are photos!

american television advertisements told americans that breakfast was the most important meal, and americans accepted this as fact and repeated it to each other. given this level of epistemology no one should be allowed to wonder how we ended up here

I honestly believe that a lot of conservative strategizing is based on the correct assumptions that liberals would never be as ruthless as they are.

I worry that if there's a figure who's considered to be above the law, that leaves all of us in a state of profound vulnerability to extra-legal violence.

The first concern of any action we take at this point in history is, "Does this help Trump and thus fascism?" Not "How can I feel better right now?" or "How can I reshape politics with my fantasy?" or "This is how I show everyone it's their fault, not mine." Anything else serves Trump.
People are asking us to take this gamble in exchange for their fantasy of how it works as we face the greatest threat to America's faulty representative democracy in our history. Trump has argued that he can essentially operate as a king in the Supreme Court, and the GOP majority agrees to degrees.

Great thread
🧵 In 2020, I nearly died from mysterious industrial chemical exposure at my apartment. Later, I discovered my employer was dumping toxic waste into our windows from their Skunkworks semiconductor fab next-door. I tipped off US EPA, who then raided them in 2023. EPA sent me the report on Friday. 💀 ⬇️

The cruelty of the Grants Pass decision perfectly distills the soul of this country down to its ugly punitive essence. Instead of using our vast wealth to help those in need we will use it instead to punish them. And hey if it ushers thousands more into the warehouses then all the better right?

It should be a scandal that the US government still contracts with SpaceX at all, given what Elon Musk has been saying in public and, you know, all the rockets that blew up. That’s just…depressing
NASA announced today that SpaceX was selected to develop the vehicle that will de-orbit the ISS in 2030. 🛰️
