The GOP wants to outlaw porn. If I wanted to beat them, I might make a commercial all about that. I might hire popular adult performers for it. I might run it on every porn site.
I feel like this is the kind of thing you very much don't do for regular ad slots, but like, you buy out all the ad slots on the top porn websites through November, which frankly shouldn't be that expensive to do
Or like, mainstream ads that press that the ‘black market’ versions will be ethically far worse. You can kind of speak out of both sides of your mouth. Say: Porn is bad (hear: it’s fine), but bad porn is worse (hear: legal porn is high quality).
A PAC might do that but an official campaign would never touch it, porn is sadly still an easy bipartisan target, even if one party is better than the other on the issue.
That sounds like an entirely reasonable thing that a person born in 1986, rather than starting their political consulting career in 1986, would suggest. Too bad our current politics only has room for the latter.
