Great episode. Like @jasonheppler.org , I’ve recently made the switch to Obsidian for capturing and storing notes. We need a place where historians can share interesting use cases/plugins/etc. since it’s a big ecosystem.

I would absolutely read a comic novel about the challenge of trying to get a single small invoice paid at an institution of higher education. Sort of a “Dear Committee Members” meets “The Myth of Sisyphus” sort of thing.

The early days of Bikini Kill at house parties and punk venues: "I almost always sang through shitty PAs, which meant most people couldn't hear the words. So I'd walk around handing lyric sheets to girls before every show." Kathleen Hanna, REBEL GIRL: MY LIFE AS A FEMINIST PUNK

I really, really cannot stress this enough: historians, if you want your book to be read, reviewed, translated, sold overseas, produced as an audiobook — it needs to be shorter. Whatever it is now, cut 10% of your total word count, to start.
