That latest Best 100 Books list? I've read 5 of them. 5! But I bet none of them have read even one of my books, so fuck it, I call that a win.

I'm distraught and the dogs will be ecstatic - I bought steaks for a treat and then forgot and they got pushed to the back of the fridge. I just found them and they're a week out of date. 😫

I'm glad the dogs will be happy, but I can ill-afford a mistake like that. (Please buy my books!)

Buying a book and never reading it is a perfectly acceptable thing to do. You've supported an author, you've supported art, you've treated yourself, your shelves look good. Reading it is a bonus maybe. Buying books is a hobby in itself.

We live in a world now where that would no longer work. It would probably boost his ratings.

Also: can someone please explain to me why a children's writer with no medical or health policy background is being consulted *by the government* about medicines legislation? You might just as well ask my mum. (Who, FYI, likes and respects trans people, and isn't a raving lunatic)

If these drugs remain available for the treatment of cis gender children, but are banned for trans kids, this has nothing to do with either patient safety or ethical medicine.
