So, good news, i did! I'm checked out of the hotel and all my stuff is inside. I'm taking the night off out at some places I like to relieve some built up stress, but this whole thing is over. I do need to take a few days just for cleaning and rearranging, though...

I do think a significant part of why cis people treat trans women like "oppression tourists" is that they genuinely believe we can just "take off the dress" and stop being oppressed at any time. It comes from a place of deep, apathetic ignorance about our lived experience, pre and post transition.

lotta cis people think we just throw on dresses and prance around bathrooms. They don’t realize that something as simple as your family still wanting you around is a massive luxury for us. that’s what we mean when we say cis privilege. They take for granted what we rarely have access to

Agenda47 would basically outlaw gender affirming care for everyone (all ages). Any hospital or healthcare provider that offers gender affirming care would be terminated from Medicare and Medicaid. We'd lose access to HRT, surgeries, etc. Please vote!

Anyway, excited because the D&D character who's replacing my main will finally have her chance at getting a MacGuffin that's been motivating her for her whole time in-game and might have to cut another PC to do it 'cuz they 100% do not want her to have it.

before I came up with Puppy, i did a few little autobio doodles that pretty much led directly to Puppy a big part of my transition lately has been learning to enjoy drawing myself, even if it means revealing more about myself than i used to be comfortable with but i always overshared anyway

hotel cable keeps making me gravitate toward Disney Channel ‘cuz that’s the only channel consistently playing stuff that’s palatable for me, since it keeps rerunning Big City Greens, Bluey, and Kiff, and I’m seeing… very Disney stuff about them in some key ways

did a little storyboarding for a comic that’s kinda short and pretty much just a personal thing and i think i know how to take it easy in order to make it, and not stress myself out getting it done

seeing a lot of "actually Project 2025 considers any LGBT text or subtext to be pornographic, that's what they're trying to ban" and maybe could use a little more "but also it's wrong to ban actual porn, porn is fine"

The game is now ridiculously expensive in English, and, taken on the quality of its mechanics alone, it might not hold you well... but there aren't a lot of games that tried to be this creative and willing to play in its own space like this. Totally worth trying out.

Reminder that Sega made a PS2 slash 'em up game with RPG elements based on Osamu Tezuka's DORORO. It's in B&W bcause you need to win a boss fight so Hyakkimaru can regain one of his natural eyes and see in color again.

Love how we've gotten more civil for horrible people, but become way more horrible to people just trying to live their lives.

I don’t look back on my teenage Morrissey fandom with much joy but I do remember being 15 and buying a record with a song calling for the Prime Minister to be guillotined and thinking “yeah fair enough”, it didn’t feel like some unwritten rule of rock star civility had been broken
