When folks argue that a Universal Basic Income would deter working, think about those million-dollar CEOs. If a modest $15k is enough to make one quit working, wouldn’t multi-million dollar packages make CEOs practically comatose? Yet, here they are, still CEOing. Weird isn't it?

I will be celebrating the Tories losing spectacularly tonight, but won't be celebrating this Labour Party winning. I hope as many Lib Dem and Green MPs get returned as possible, to hold Starmer to account from his left and give a proper basis for a progressive opposition and real change.

Things that are not in anyway threatening/dangerous: sharing restroom and changing room with trans people. Things that are dangerous: Politician, celebrities and regular people arguing that oppressed groups of people do not deserve the same rights as everyone else.
