I get why greater sage grouse do that whole thing, but what I don't understand is randomly THEY ALL JUST SIT DOWN. Are they collectively board or did a female choose a mate so the males are briefly sad and ashamed!?
Awhile ago @neolithicsheep.bsky.social suggested instead of taking my first adult vacation abroad to just photograph the prairie and... Maybe? 😭

There are about 200 leks in Utah and this is the only one people put on eBird. I can see why. Dumb birds just courting in the middle of the road 😂
