NO SHIT Can we finally start accepting that if "pro-life" people really just wanted to protect "babies" that their approach would look COMPLETELY DIFFERENT? Where's the pro-life demand for UBI, FREE prenatal and infant/child medical care, FREE hospital births, affordable childcare programs, etc?

OOPS! Looks like they forgot that completely in their rush to punish people who can get pregnant by forcing them to have a child they don't want, can't afford, or might die in birthing. Even if the pregnant person is a literal child themselves!

helping mothers makes it less likely that they’ll sell their babies to a christian adoption mill, so you can see why’d they think any kind of support is counterproductive.

Forcing women to raise and feed a family is how they ensure that we have plenty of cheap labor. You may be willing to put up with less yourself, but you'll work harder for a child. They found it a high motivator to get people to fill minimum wage positions.
