If you’re at all interested in the direct to video softcore scene, there’s a pretty good documentary about Jim Wynorski, the CHOPPING MALL guy, and his late career change to softcore called POPATOPOLIS. It’s about his attempt to make THE WITCHES OF BREASTWICK in 3 days. Stormy Daniels is in it.

I am this close to making a Misty Mundae softcore icon appreciation post. From Mummy Raider to Spiderbabe to The Sexy Adventures of Van Helsing, I think these films held up a sexy mirror to American pop culture in the late 90s to early 00s.

Before Peter Jackson ever made LOTR, a friend in school discovered that his dad had a rare videotape of a movie version of Lord of The Rings in his cupboard for safekeeping so a bunch of us stole it to watch anyway turns out it was in fact called Lord of the G Strings and was a v diff kind of film

The resiliency of people warms my heart. We will triumph over this evil reactionary era by turning the enemy’s tools of subjugation into public utilities.

WTF. The electric company in Texas doesn't have a map of outages so people have been using the Whataburger App to figure out who lost power. This is like when Homer was using the Krusty Burger map when they got lost at sea.

I forgot that your character is called V in Cyberpunk because I was all ready to name them Gash Burnout. That’s still my name to me.

It’s funny how many core mechanics of Cyberpunk are explained via text pop ups because this stuff was not there originally.

I’ve been playing Cyberpunk 2077 again for the first time since launch. I thought the original game was a mess (even beyond the massive technical issues it felt like none of the pieces fit together well) but that it had some genuinely very cool storytelling and world building.

I have never before witnessed a quicker or more dramatic turnaround in customer service than the time I had a shitty experience with a CSR, and for some reason decided to call the main corporate number and ask to leave a message for the CEO. The person who answered my call gave me his voicemail!

It’s why companies have customer service departments. If you could go up to the CEO of the airline and go “listen motherfucker, you oversold my flight and I was bumped and didn’t make it to my loved ones deathbed in time” they would feel bad! They would feel the repercussions of their decisions.

Absolutely no one thinks either candidate currently running for president will have the ability to do the job. Feels like a bad evolution in partisanship where now you don’t even vote for a candidate as anything more than a mascot for the party.
