I lost a little tuxedo kitten named Boots to FIP about 8 years ago. This is fantastic news.

We had a burmese a while back who lost his battle with FIP. This is amazing new.

It's a terrible disease. I'm glad they finally have something for it.

If I’m reading the online information correctly, this will put the FIP into remission. Is that correct? That would be amazing! I’ve never heard about this before.

It’s been available via a pretty complex black market system since 2019. This particular treatment (GS) is very effective and has a remission rate in the 90s last I looked

This is going to save so many cats from unnecessary suffering and an early death. This is so so so wonderful to hear.

So fun tidbit, this treatment has been shown to increase FELV+ cat lifespans. FIP is one of the main litters of felvies

I'll miss my first kitty forever, but at least no one else will lose their friend to FIP.

This guy & his brother showed up at my parents’ house showing signs of trauma from abuse. My parents gave them a safe home but they had weakened immune systems and after a couple of years we lost them to FIP.
