We did it in Portugal also, but after some 8 years it slid into the shitter, and we got fascists growing like mold. I'm hopeful we'll get it together before it's too late. Lots of young people voting right wing, but some actively fight it.

Not true. The UK's most high-profile right wing leader finally has a seat in parliament after 8 attempts, and his party now has seats whereas in previous years it never has. Yes polls said they'd get 15 seats and they only got 5, but it's not a defeat, not by a long way.

It's going to be a rough few months, but I like to think we'll get there and some day these screaming horrors will be whimpers in dim shadow.

Defeated? Kind of. The far-right won the popular vote in France, and *increased* it again in the 2nd round. In the UK Labour increased their vote by less than 2% from 2019 but doubled their votes in the house. FPTP is a crappy voting system and the UK, France, and US need to get rid of it.
