For the last few weeks as these emails & their tone further enrage me, I have ubsub’d & told them why (genocide!) or if it’s for an individual running I first look up their stance on ceasefire & yep, 90% of the time…unsub & tell them why (genocide).

The way I just tried to cringe out of my body! The guilt tripping and condescending tone is awful, but honestly even the format with the emoji bullet points feels so Facebook mom. Could that really be the core demographic of the Dems? They want to be righteous and lecturing rather than win?

For context, *all* these messages feel very uncomfortable to me as a German! We have an election coming up as well and I haven't received any emotional blackmail to donate. This idea that supporting a party means constantly throwing money at them because everything's always in peril... 😱

Trump’s power is that he gets everyone, including the opposition, to frame things his way. Absolutely pathetic to go with it in any way. A much better tactic is to understand that you should be thinking about things the opposite way that Trump wants you to.

If you want to make a difference, call the candidate and let them know your thoughts. Someone, not necessarily the candidate, thinks this email will raise money. Likely it will, from a segment of the population. But they won't know that it's not working for you unless they get constructive feedback.

My apologies, this came across in a way I didn't intend because the 300-character limit is severely... limiting. I'm glad you do, far too many people don't.

Honestly? I don't think there's a good way to walk up to a stranger and give them unsolicited advice or basic explanations because you're assuming they don't understand how things work! I think a lot of people who really mean well are falling into this trap. (I've gotten a dozen this week.)

Politics really brings this out in people.
