When all is said and done, we're going to have raised just about a QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS for voting rights together. I know the discourse/news cycle is bleak, but I want to remind you again how much you've helped over the past two weeks.

My informal poll (no questions, just vibes) of everyone I know suggests that we are all at low tide. I'm tempted to lay down on the floor except it's hard to get back up again. Hanne Blank's Reasons Not to Quit are helpful reminders. hanneblankboyd.substack.com/p/the-grownu...

I just can’t get over this 1880 book printed entirely using Hectograph. Most likely printed as an edition of 36 (one for each member of Johnston’s studio). Only three known copies. This one is at Duke.

Having taught at Duke for six years and very likely many of the students at this commencement ceremony, all I can say is that I am unbelievably proud of them and moved by this act of solidarity.

The witch walks the wood and learns. She learns gossip and grievance from trees, is tutored in an intimate language of feral signs heralding tomorrow. Her eyes teach places of harvest, the subtle turning of the year. No step refuses wisdom. – #EmilyBanting, 1982 #Witchcraft

I made a zine titled "White People Hate Protests" which compiled opinion surveys from the 1960s. You can read it here and also share it with people who flap their gums about how so many people supported the tactics of the Black freedom movement of the 60s.: queer.archive.work/library/down...

This day is... something... in higher ed, but we helped a first-year student with microfilm that didn't even turn out to be what he was hoping, and he's been a total delight about the whole thing. Now he gets to look at some pictures of witches that I recommended.
