2008: Sea, Swallow Me by Craig L Gidney. An absolutely fantastic collection of short fiction in a mix of subgenrs genres, much of it queer. I'm not typically much of a collection reader, but I loved this & it is well worth picking up (in print in both hard copy & a v affordable ebook edition).

2001: Point of Dreams by @blueterraplane.bsky.social and Lisa A Barnett. Book 2 of the Astreaint/Points books. At one level a nicely done police procedural in a low magic alt renaissance. But Astreaint is one of my favourite cities in fiction and Philip & Nico hands down one of the best gay couples.

Today is World Goth Day. Tanith Lee wrote many works of gothic fiction -- including the Secret Books of Paradys series, so goth that it could have been written in the Bat Cave (famous goth club).

The Norwegian band Bel Canto just released their new album, Radiant Green, today. They are pioneers of Arctic electronic and the ethereal-wave/heavenly voices genre. My favorite song on the album is reflected on the cover art -- it's an adaptation of Goethe's "Erl King." sung in German.
