At a pride event today, a young queer person came up to our table, started to take one of our pride tote bags, and then put it down and sheepishly said "I can't. My parents will catch me." About twenty minutes later they rushed back up, grabbed it, and said "Dammit, it's cute and I want it!"

People pushing criminalization of homeless people want them to die. There are internal differences over how openly to do this or how fast. This isn’t ignorant or irrational—it is ghoulish. The stakes have to be made clear.

This right here is why I get so wrapped up in everything I do and blaming myself for everything. I constantly don't even know what to say or do because everybody's got a comment about everything! So exhausting.

Human beings were not intended to be subjected to unfiltered constant commentary about everything they do or don't do. Yet this is the age of uninterrupted comments as humans are called "content" and "accounts". It's good to actively ignore 99% of them especially from strangers.

There's a kind of respectability politics behind being nice. I remember being told all the time to be a "nice girl" when I grew up but there's a time and place for being nice.

We got tricked by science fiction into thinking a futuristic city is all about flying cars and crystal towers and hologram billboards but what it really looks like is nice apartment blocks, good mass transit, pedestrian zones with shade trees and safe bike lanes.

This is an accessibility concern. A lot of things use paste such as Dragon software, so making it harder to paste things in Windows is an accessibility issue.
