The fact that Marvel's Blade has been stuck in development hell for years is honestly baffling to me. It's Stone Cold Guy vs Vampires, do not overthink this! It has one of the best badass "I just killed/am about to kill a guy" action lines in all cinema!

If you don't have the subtext that gay men used to meet in bars, discover that they were both alike in a way they'd been trying to hide, connect, & then trauma dump on and then console other, I honestly question whether you have any idea what the X-Men show is doing here.

I mean, what's your alternative explanation as to what the subtext is, given that they spend like 3 episodes flashing back to & then psychically reliving this same post-WW2 bar meeting. What are you even doing here.

Here's an NRO writer example. With all the actual content and criticism simply ignored, you're then free to do exactly what he did some more: speculate about the motives of critics, make them look sinister & unreasonable. This way of conducting any sort of debate over any issue is really bad.

The hard thing is: there are still people over on exTwitter making smart observations about stuff (in this case, about AI), & I wish I they would come here. My boyfriend still sends me the great tweets. I still reply over there sometimes. But feels more & more like sneaking into enemy territory.
