on one hand probably good that "sex scandals" barely are anymore, on the other hand bad that extreme conservative freaks can't even be taken down by gross hypocrisy anymore

Both are living the dream of no consequences, I guess. The worst thing that seems to have happened to them is I remember the scandals.

iirc, “he’s hiking” was announced late on the afternoon of the first day. i remember sitting at a bar with some people, a block away from the lege, & everyone was like “wtf is the gov?”
I believe I voted against Sanford in every campaign he ever ran, except the last: I had moved to SC-5 and anyway he lost the primary to a Trump-endorsed lunatic.
Nancy Mace has that seat now.
