I am still new to cakes. This is I think my third or fourth cake? And my first time making frosting. Guinness chocolate cake w cardamom cream cheese frosting for the layers and rhubarb buttercream frosting for the outside.
It had too much frosting* originally, but I scraped off the excess. I'm quite happy with the result.
*Bluesky has a strong "no such thing as too much frosting" contingent, I learned
There can be "too much frosting" if it's buttercream, but if it's cream cheese frosting, there is not "too much" ever.
I will also apply this to whipped cream frosting, though hardly anyone ever does it.
The rhubarb didn't puree as finely as I wanted, meaning there were green strands in the frosting. Still delicious, but I didn't want to introduce myself to my new neighbors with a cake that demands immediate flossing.
They never bring me gifts or swoop on people I don’t like they just eat my food and hold me in slightly less disdain than other people.
I love them with my whole heart.
I found my buds disappeared for a week or two at a time my other place especially if I hadn't been around much. it was always such a relief and a joy to see them come back
Man it’s the best. I’ve been asking for one for birthdays and Christmases since I found out they were a thing, and got a Birdsnap for my birthday and could not be happier with it!
