This like the attacks on immigration advocacy groups, depicting them as somehow partisan. They have not changed their ambit which was for decades embraced by both parties. The weird unsaid assumption is that these groups should fold now that the GOP *has* embraced anti immigration rhetoric.

Also the ADL, especially under Greenblatt, has attacked left wing politicians plenty for attacking israel even when it isn’t antisemitism. Calling it left leaning is just assuming Jews = Left which well….says something about the author
This isn't Ancient Greek, political doesn't mean "related to te management of society" anymore it means ''partisan." What does 'partisan' mean? it means making decisions on 'which ideological side profits'
Perhaps it’s not that any of the noted organizations ‘moved’ with the Democrats, but that generally Dem ideals are more inclusive. But I’d agree also, these organizations always intended to lobby for those who identified with them. It’s one aspect but a significant one in my view.
