i think people should consider paying less attention to the staffers of former successful politicians who went to work in media rather than going to work for *other* successful politicians, or at least consider why those other successful politicians haven’t tried to hire them in the last 8 years

Listen, my commitment to the cause is enough to shit post, but not enough to trade in my mid comedy podcast for actually working in politics.

It's funny that a famous speechwriter for by far the best speechwriter and public speaker of his generation wound up as a podcaster. (I'm kind of fond of Crooked, because of their Supreme Court podcast, and I like Nish Kumar and enjoy his UK podcast; I've never listened to other Crooked podcasts).

I worked with a couple of those dudes at GoFundMe! I have tons of tea and the regime has changed, so I don't mind saying that one of our explicit goals was to try to win the Nobel Peace Prize for our CEO.

I have been assuming that a gig at Crooked both pays better & is a significantly shorter workweek, but this is also a good point
