I hate the term "content creator".

I always create content right after my morning coffee.

I may not know who the father of my food baby is, but I do know that I'm having a water birth tomorrow morning after my 1st cup of coffee.

I've been beating the drum against people calling themselves "content creators" for years. It's so weirdly dehumanizing.

"Content" means nothing more than "stuff." The substance or ‘material’ (whether corporeal or incorporeal) of which a thing is formed or consists, or out of which a thing may be fashioned. (OED). "I make stuff for the internet."

We need a "content shredder" plug-in.

"Content Technician."

Luckily theres usually a few people who see it and go "wow this is the perfect thing, amazing" I just feel so bad when I see some amazing piece of art and I'm just not fundamentally moved in any way due to my own internet poisoning Them: "Everything I've done in life has lead to this." Me: "Neat"

And now it's even worse: that pile of content is put into a blender and the sludge is fed to a machine that creates more pictures

Just off to the right in the last panel you have the scrapers with a massive truck piling in as much as they can grab.

I hate social media for this. A portfolio should be a timeline of glimpses of one's artistic process. Sometimes looking back is great to see how far you've evolved and how you've changed. The empty "more content" shit is just consumerism forgetting what makes art important entirely 😔
