Introduced the two youngins to frozen veggie fishing as a way to cool off today, they're growing into very pretty little adult ratty boys. Both had to be shown a few times, but now they're fishing it all out and stashing peas, carrots, and green beans all over.

Apparently the key to keeping the rats happy when it's this hot is cut up frozen grapes. Especially since they're frozen Cotton Candy grapes, so they're extra sweet. Went from little sad pancakes to excited happy boys.

Didn't expect the ugly grief cry this morning, but I should have seen it coming when my parents asked me to help them go through some boxes from the attic.

Me: I feel awful still, I think I'll take a nap Jackwads by the highschool: Hey let's blow up these neighborhood shaking bombs every 10 minutes or so

Got my blood pressure back to my normal thanks to some coffee, but I am now SUPER hungover and brain fogged, so no work will happen today. Rimworld it is I guess. Maybe some more Dawntrail once my meds fully kick in.

Sleeping with nothing on is all fun and games until you pass out in the bathroom and your father has to help your mom pick you up off the floor. 💀

I'd spent the last couple days wondering why I felt "off" Within the last hour or so my ovaries have made themselves very known that they're once again tweaking out over a cyst. Cool.

My brain is utterly fried today, as the weather shifts again, I wonder if I can find some good dumb movies to watch while I work. I've had a craving to find Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, but I'm not sure where it's available...

Art is only art when it's allowed to be a window into the human existence, which in and of itself is harmful and messy and unsafe. I can warn you if I'm approaching themes that might be too much, but all in all, the onus is on the viewer, not the creator. If we scrubbed it clean, it wouldn't exist

I wish more people understood that they can't expect art to be comforting or safe. They can *want* that, but they can't demand it or expect it. Art, as a whole, never *should* be a safe space. You cannot tell the truth and be perfectly safe because the truth often isn't safe.

Hey FFXIV, if you rando as Pictomancer into Baby's First Dungeon, maybe don't only give us ONE BUTTON TO PUSH. Hatalai is already boring as fuck to do as a fully leveled character, but at least my Dragoon has like, three buttons to hit.

Very close to done with that Mermay comic...Then back to Emperor's Feast with fresh eyeballs and fresh enthusiasm. Glad I took some time off to try something different, reset my brain a bit! Next year I'll try to have something in the tank before May starts, lol.

For Disability Pride Month, one thing I'd love abled bodied people to figure out is how to speak to someone with chronic health issues without implying that if they themselves had the disabled person's health conditions, they would end it all. I promise you life goes on- even with health issues.

Note that you have to turn on the alt text toggle on desktop AND on the phone app, they don't sync. My phone's toggle keeps getting unsync'd somehow and then I'll forget. Also, keep a note doc of alt text for images you repost often, artists, it'll help!

Welp, that 3 hour nap wasn't planned.

So far the one side effect of Concerta I'm noticing is it doesn't suppress my appetite like Adderall does, which, I mean, is probably good, but I'm annoyed when I get broken out of a flow state by hunger. Mostly cause then I get distracted while I eat! Stupid body needing maintenance!

For disability awareness month: Please brush up on your history. Please educate yourself more. Especially about the latest in mental disabilities and chronic conditions that have been stereotyped by mass media. Please try to learn how to not be an ableist. Learn to (at least) meet us half way.

Fun fact: @ryanestrada.com ‘s “Banned Book Club,” which I proudly publish, keeps being challenged in libraries for being “pornograhic.” There is zero sex or sexual suggestion in the title. The censors are just shrieking The Magic Word and hoping it gets them what they want. This is what they do.

and even if someone thinks "well I don't like/look at porn so why should it be a priority for me?" it's important to remember that when christofascists say "porn" they also mean age-appropriate comprehensive sex education, media with queer/trans people in it, and picture books about gay penguins.
