Artists & Creatives, there's a browser plugin to remove AI sites from your search results. (Good for getting real references.)
Get the plugin here: iorate.github.io/ublacklist/d...
Then add the AI blocklists here: iorate.github.io/ublacklist/s...
๐ Please Boost ๐
I think I stopped using google after I'd had enough of it replacing searches for actual things I wanted with searches for businesses and products.
Apparently you can add "-product" to remove products and "-ai" or "-generated" to get rid of a lot of those useless SEO-optimized blogs, though.
It says it does, but I tested it with the Minecraft mod reposters list, (easy to tell if that one is working or not) and it does block them for me on Google search, but didn't seem to work on DuckDuckGo.
Using Vivaldi browser for both.
I'm not much of a creative, but I massively appreciate this! Thank you. My feeds do not allow AI content, and I have absolutely NO interest in seeing it, personally either.
Support artists!
If anyone wants to use this for a search engines over than google make sure to enable other search engines in the options page. It's disabled by default for some reason.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to add the subscriptions. I've scanned the github page and also the extension's details and neither is very clear.
On the plugin side, settings, scroll down to subscription.
On the github side, click on the .txt for the blacklist and then click on the "Raw" button. Then copy-paste the URL for the raw text file into the plugin.
Lmk if you get it working!
menu button at top right of browser, Add-ons and themes, uBlacklist, then the three dots button to the right of the name at the top, then options, scroll down to Subscription, Add a subscription, add name, add URL from the github (ends in .txt), hit Add
I think that does it!
I'm trying to do the same thing (I'm on Firefox) and I can't figure this out either. I added the plugin, but I don't understand how to add the AI blocklists. The menu button at the top right of my browser is just the close button "X" so I don't understand what you mean. Can you help me, please?
If you want to remove all of Pinterest from image search results, yes.
If you want to remove AI Pinterest uploaders specifically, that's out of the scope of this one, I think. ๐ค
Head on over to Pinterest, then click the plugin's icon thingy to add it. Or, in image search, just play "Block this site" whack-a-mole with all of Pinterest's international domains.
It does for meโฆ It might be that it's a little less obvious?
Or the blocklists are missing a site?
If you see a "block this site" option under individual image results, that means it's on and working
This is a random guess:
The plugin doesn't catch images for me if I do general search, scroll down to the image section, and click "show more images"
But it does work if I start on Google Images, and search there.
