Sometime during the Trump years I decided "Fuck it I'm just going to tell my students the truth about Republicans" but as I lean into that I find I'm still having to pick my spots because if I tell students everything Republicans are up to they'll think I'm a raving lunatic.

"When Republicans hold Congress but not the Presidency, they do things to intentionally create problems knowing that the problems will be blamed on the Dem President" is now one of the central facts of American politics and totally asymetrical.

There were like 400 anti-trans bills released in the first 3 days of 2024. Washington state democratic supermajority passed a republican ballot initiative to out trans kids that didn't even have enough votes. They just passed it. Dems are screwing us.

I like how they subtly demonstrate their aversion to DEI by excluding their handmade from the picture.
