I feel like the answer to the question “why did my favorite shitposting buddy not follow me to Bluesky?” is often that they are 23 and you are 37.

How can anyone say with a straight face "did not try to deceive or mislead regulators" when it's established that they cut off the video right before the worst part?? "Uhhmmm transmission issues cut it short when playing it for the DMV." And no one on Cruise's side noticed? That's some weak sauce.

Excited to hear about this new offer from my credit card to "pay over time with no interest"... Just a monthly fee for a certain percentage of the amount I borrowed! It sure seems like a bargain, only 1.72%, instead of APRs I used to see in the double digits for that old-fashioned "interest"! 🤔🤔🤔

tl;dr- the 4 bolts were likely missing entirely. Repair needed to be done on the seal under the door plug. To avoid a more onerous review process, they chose not to record this as a door Removal event, but a more informal Opening event. Then no one double-checked it was put back together right.
