Remember how they put Kyle Rittenhouse on a political pedal stool. George Zimmerman was selling skittles at GOP conventions. Crowds of them called to hang Mike Pence. They broke into the capitol with ZIP TIES. Planned to kidnap a governor. Republicans have always loved violence.

Trump lavishing praise on Rittenhouse's intentional murder of protesters remains the most galling example to me because it demonstrates how little the real and terrible violence mattered to him when it was pointed at "undesirables." "He should not have had to suffer through a trial for that."

Smh!

Rittenhouse isn't someone that should be glorified. But he did fire in self-defense. The verdict was correct. The criminal justice system doesn't magically become good when it goes after someone you don't particularly like.

Rittenhouse chose to seek out a chance to kill someone. If he had stayed home instead, his victims would still be alive.

Trump said, "He should not have had to suffer through a trial for that." The violence that Rittenhouse enacted, to Trump, was so obvious and necessary that even an *inquiry* into whether or not three people should have been shot in the streets was seen as an affront.

That wasn't self defense, he went out specifically looking to shoot people We don't "gotta hand it to them" with violent neo-Nazis
