How do I say this without sounding glib, but uh, why is the NYT considered "the paper of record?" My whole life it's been a shitshow of Iraq, transphobia and now this nonsense with Gaza. Yet it's the "paper of record?"

NYT is completely unreliable as a news source anymore. Not alone is it publishing lies but the verbal gymnastics it engages in when describing Israeli atrocities is nauseating to watch.

The lessons of Gulf War II have been forgotten, if they were ever actually learned (I mean the media manipulation before the ground attack-there are lots of lessons here). The kids don’t know about it, & everyone else has forgotten Miller, Powell, and all the rest of it. It’s maddening, & obvious.
