If only Dr. Giamatti or Ernie Harwell or any of those other romanticizers had written, rather than, "it's the game that breaks your heart," "it's the game that profoundly damages you and leaves you with an ever-present sense of betrayal." That would have been far more accurate.
I never thought I’d hear as much “woe is me” nonsense as I heard from yankee fans, but for Giants fans to complain about not winning? It’s only been 10 years since they won 3 out of 5!
Yeah but now the Giants are in the middle of their long penance of suffering and blowing 12 point leads before we are allowed to win again. Probably got another decade of this by my count. Torture ball is real
