Back from Ireland and now packing for Toronto. It seemed like a good idea.

Turns out egg cups are an even more effective hotline to memory than smells. Had totally forgotten about these till I saw them in the cupboard and straight away back to being small sitting in the sunroom with boiled egg and soldiers (full disclosure: loved the egg cups, hated the eggs).

I just saw an interview with a male fantasy author where he said "I guess I haven't really written female protagonists because it's not really something I feel like I can write from a place of knowledge." Reader, this man wrote a series with a whole ass ancient dragon as their protagonist. 🙄
