Rep. Clyburn stating today that if Joe steps down it must be Kamala Harris is huge news. He righted the 2020 Biden campaign and seems to be setting the groundwork for her. To me, it is the first evidence that Biden is considering stepping down.
(Very big) If Biden were to choose not to run, he would have to pull the party together behind her the way he pulled the party behind him in the 2020 primaries. It's something you touched on, but if he can't get the party in lockstep like he did then, it's gonna fail.
It baffles me (except it doesn’t, it’s misogyny)why folks haven’t taken Kamala seriously. Of course there’s stuff to criticize, there is with EVERY candidate, but if we’re serious about winning, & we damn well better be, there’s a good chance she’ll be Cmdr & Chief. We need to get behind her NOW.
