We have a mobile vet in the town where I live that used to be astronomically priced compared to the other vets. Now she is the only affordable option. Truly bananas. 🍌

We have a big PE owned vet clinic that's the only place with 24 hour access to specialists and such and it's soooo expensive

Banfield pet hospitals are owned by the Mars corporation, which tbf I guess is slightly less toxic than being owned by private equity but still feels weird

i heard this before and what really irritated me a little extra about it is that one of my cats is named Marz(ipan) and she would never go corporate! shes a lil street kitty from a very rough inner city (like her mom 😇😹) and a sweetie and also wants to abolish capitalism or at least billionaires

there's a program in my city (philly but there are branches and probably similar ones in other places too) where depending on your zipcode you can get free/low cost pet services
