Many folks have complained about poor subtitles on Good Omens S2. @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com explains: for S1 he reviewed & corrected subtitles himself. He didn’t do that for S2. Because he’s on strike. When writers say their work doesn’t end when the script is turned in…this is what that means.

This is why folks who are creating the boycott no one asked for risk screwing up the combined writer actor strike.

For the film industry, a boycott typically weakens the position of the striking workers. It gives the AMPTP the chance to say “see? No one wants the product you make so why should care about you making it?”

Climate change is disproportionately harming the child laborers. Maybe we should just tear this all down and start over

Heat stress is is a deadly risk for farm workers, and it’s even more dangerous for child workers. Farm workers are excluded from many child labor laws. Their little bodies have less surface area, produce less sweat, and generate more “exertional heat” than adults. This strawberry worker is 7.

My favourite fact about Iceland is that we have many, many crime writers but only one forensic pathologist, and he was so busy answering all of their questions that he decided to have a small seminar for writers to get some peace. It immediately sold out so he had another one that also sold out.
