Stuff like this is super important for calibrating public opinion wrt SC reform. If the party’s leader refuses to shame this ratfucking Court then what’s the public supposed to do? You can only do so much to change opinion from the bottom-up. Democracy dies when elites are scared / ignorant babies.

Imagine Biden coming out swinging on this mess today. I mean just flat out pissed like a bull moose. Imagine him telling anyone who would listen “these freaks are going to kill you.” Remember all the hand wringing about his age? Gone with the wind as he rages righteously. Those are fun daydreams.
Biden not having an energetic statement, in his own words, and on television addressing this makes me muuuuuuch more on the "he should step back and let Harris run on the top of the ticket" side of the fence.

I’m old enough to remember that this administration ran on “being the competent adults” and yet there’s a distinct lack of preparation for lots of foreseeable crises. Sure seems weird!
